Conversation Club Summary for June 13th – THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE!

Hey there friends! Did you miss Bogota Business English’s Conversation Club last Wednesday, June 13th? We really had a great time! We made new friends and created new business contacts. Come join us on on Wednesday, June 20th at 6:00 at Authors Bookstore on Calle 72 #5-23 for great English practice!

If you did not attend last week you don’t have to worry because on this blog you will be able to review the conversation topics, vocabulary and trivia that we discussed. We sincerely hope to see you there this Wednesday, June 20th to talk about LATIN AMERICA with us! We are going to learn a lot of really cool things and new vocabulary. Make sure to bring your friends, family and colleagues to share knowledge, beverages and candy with  us!

Interesting facts and information…

Alfred Nobel was a chemist, engineer, and inventor. In 1894 Nobel purchased an iron and steel mill, which he made into a major weapons factory. Nobel amassed a fortune during his lifetime. Most of his wealth was from his 355 inventions, of which dynamite is the most famous.

Nobel was concerned about how he would be remembered when he died, so in his will he left the majority of his wealth to establish the Nobel Peace Prize.
